Who are our clients and why do they use our services?
Many of our clients are very successful commercially; they clearly want to be philanthropic but are unsure where to direct their charitable funds. Our clients generally have big support teams working for them in the business world, but are isolated when it comes to philanthropy. We work closely with our clients to put in place all the working parts of a giving strategy and excite them with possible funding opportunities developed in response to their charitable priorities. We navigate through the complex landscape of charities (there are over 190,000 charities in the UK alone) based on our client’s brief.
Focused Philanthropy can consult and coordinate the formation of new philanthropic opportunities where currently there is no natural alignment between a philanthropist’s goals and the existing charitable landscape. We work confidentially with clients to ascertain the underlying motivations for giving – which can be anything from creating a lasting legacy, family engagement, providing access and links with major donor circles or Public Relations. To date, all of our clients have come through personal recommendation or word-of-mouth and the response to the service we are offering has been in high demand.
